    • Previous calculations (Ref. 14) at V′=0 show that the behavior of the Drude weight and the critical value for the metal-insulator transition is robust against an increase of the size cluster from L=16 to L=20. Furthermore, finite size scaling of the charge gap in a two-leg ladder system where one can reach larger sizes indicates the presence of a metallic phase when V′,∼V (see Ref. 19).
