    • Although these cast films were made from a dilute solution (0.1 mg/mL), the resulting films should have morphology similar to those from the 5 mg/mL solution. The concentration of the cast solution would be continuously increasing as the solvent evaporates, and finally the concentration would reach 5 mg/mL before a cast film finally forms. Hence, the absorption spectra of cast films should not depend too much on the initial concentration of the source solutions.
