The calculations were made both with a full potential noncollinear LAPW method as well as a noncollinear LMTO-ASA method. Care was made in wave function expansion, k-space sampling and self consistency criteria.

It should be noted that we have made calculations with an imposed exchange splitting, tuned to illustrate our proposed mechanism for the stabilization of noncollinear magnetism, that does not necessarily represent the ground state energy, a fact that in no way reflects on the generality of the nature of the exchange interactions discussed here.
