    • A slight complication in implementing the photon counting determination of the cat-state is that the required displacement results in a phase rotation. As a result the Hadamard actually implements 1/2 (&um; + &nu)|0> + exp[ιπ/4]1/2(&um; - ν)|α>. This is easily corrected with a phase rotation to the output.
