12. Compound 1 was also evaluated for protection from HIV-1 infection of CEM-SS cells. Six days after virus infection and co-incubation with a series dilutions of 1 cells were stained with XTT and cell viability was quantified spectrophotometrically. Compound 1 did not show significant anti-HIV activity.
