    • Because the internet was introduced in the later part of the study, the individuals that were hired from June 1999 to December 2000 (the time period when the internet was used as a recruitment tool) would have worked for the company a much shorter amount of time than those individuals hired from January 1998 through June 1999. Therefore the termination records may not be an accurate reflection of performance and commitment because individuals hired towards the end of the study were only employed for a few months when the data was collected
