    • Solvents are quite important in ultrasonication of metallic dispersions. For example, while potassium can be dispersed both in toluene and xylene, sodium can only be dispersed in xylene. However, neither potassium nor sodium can be dispersed in THF. Lithium which is soft can be hardly dispersed in organic solvents. For discussions see ref. lb, 2, 4
