    • This method of insertion is not completely random, since only predetermined grid points, at which the interactions among guest molecules and host polymer matrix were computed in the previous step, are considered. A completely random insertion implies to compute those interactions at each new insertion and would require a prohibitively long computer time. At any rate, the separation between neighbor grid positions is ca. 0.33 Å, which is much smaller than the size of the inserted molecule, so that the insertion is very close to completely random.
