    • t is the truncated energy above which the particles are extracted from the sample. In our experiment the magnetic field gradient (B′ = 1.5 mT/cm) of the MOT ejects electrons for r ≳ 12σ. We use this value (and not infinity) to solve the Poisson's equation.
