8 = vδt with the real exposure time δt = 58 ± 3 ms (see Figure 5 for an illustration). Here v is the fluid velocity in the plane of observation. It should be noted that this quantity varies with the position above the bottom of the cell (z), as well as with the radial position (r). Measuring it for single particles at various r, z positions revealed that v showed a quantitative correspondence with r and z, as expected for affine motion: v = zγ = z(ωr/H) the plate-plate distance in the shear cell.
