The p-wave resonance previously reported near this s-wave resonance is extremely narrow at the low temperatures of our gases and thus has a negligible effect on the data presented here [28,31].

The photodissociation rf pulse is detuned by ∼100 kHz beyond the threshold of molecular dissociation and applied for 50 to 200 μs. The rf power corresponds to a ∼15 μs bare atom π pulse on resonance with the |9/2, -7/2→| 9/2, -5/2〉 transition.
