A retrospective review of 186 patients with a median duration of disease of 10 years reveals a relatively low Kaplan-Meier estimate of blindness. The usual caveats associated with retrospective studies apply, but the cohort has initial characteristics similar to that of recent prospective studies (Advanced Glaucoma Intervention Study, CIGTS).
