    • For overdamped motion, the extracted damping constants b depend very weakly on m*/m. For underdamped motion, the shallowness of the axial lattice means corrections to m* due to interactions should be small. Therefore we expect all extracted damping constants b to be insensitive to corrections to m* due to interactions.
