    • Note that the δ-function potential in non-relativistic quantum mechanics in two spatial dimensions is not well defined mathematically; see, e.g., S. Albeverio, F. Gesztesy, R. Hoegh-Krohn, and H. Holden, Solvable Models in Quantum Mechanics (Springer-Verlag, New York, 1988). In our case these difficulties are an artifact of the non-relativistic approximation, and do not appear in the relativistic field-theoretical treatment. We thank R.
