    • Even though we cannot treat the higher-dimensional case at the moment, one should not give up hope too quickly; it took more than four decades to generalize the Lieb-Schultz-Mattis Theorem [5] about the gap in isotropic Heisenberg models with a unique ground state (e.g., antiferromagnets) to higher dimensions [6].
