For monochromatic probe and drive fields there is no acousto-optical interaction, as is seen from (21). To achieve the nonlinear interaction, the effect of EIT should be partially destroyed. This is similar to the conclusion of [15], where it has been shown that large refractive nonlinearity based on the atomic coherence can be achieved only for a "disturbed" EIT regime. An ideal EIT medium itself does not interact with the light [16].
