    • To a stirred solution of N-Boc BrAlaOMe (282 mg, 1 mmol) in DCM (4 mL) was added TFA (1 mL) at 0°C. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temp. for 1 h. Evaporation of the solvent and coevaporation with toluene yielded the corresponding TFA salt of BrAlaOMe and this was used as such for further reaction.
