The clear solution was then cast into a plastic Petri dish and covered with a Parafilm. Based on a preliminary series of gelation experiments it was shown that after a few days depending on the PCL end-groups (hydroxyl or triethoxysilane) the Parafilm was to be removed. The gelified material was then dried under ambient condition for 1 week and finally cured at 100 °C for 2 days prior to testing
