This is a large retrospective cohort study that demonstrates the relationship between histories of CSA and adolescent onset of smoking in adult women. This article has implications for screening and treatment of women in smoking cessation programs.

Sex Transm Infect 2004; 80:138-141. This study presents data on the prevalence of STIs in CSA victims and emphasizes the need for early screening and detection. The article also discusses mental health sequelae in women with histories of CSA.

This study presents results that strongly endorse parents' expectations of PCPs to discuss sexual development and sexual abuse prevention in the office setting. An important study that should empower the PCP to feel comfortable in addressing these issues.
