    • McCullough et al. mentioned in ref 6 that Ni-catalyzed dehalogenative polymerization for head-to-tail poly(3-alkylthiophene)s could proceed "by either a step growth or a chain growth polymerization mechanism" and that they "have observed that more highly conjugated intermediates react faster with the catalyst than the monomer". However, they have not shown the experimental data.
