The level of compressive load affects conclusions from statistical analyses to determine whether a lateral meniscal autograft restores tibial contact pressure to normal: A study in human cadaveric knees
-
Huang A, Hull ML, Howell SM: The level of compressive load affects conclusions from statistical analyses to determine whether a lateral meniscal autograft restores tibial contact pressure to normal: a study in human cadaveric knees. J Orthop Res 2003, 21:459-464. The study showed significantly higher contact pressures in autologous meniscal transplants at loads of 1200 N but not at 400 N compared with normal knees. However, the study also found significant improvement of contact pressures in autologous meniscal transplants compared with meniscectomized knees.
