Making Sense of Carnap's Aufbau
-
And only that. Note the list of types of interpretations of the Aufbau in C. Ulises Moulines, 'Making Sense of Carnap's Aufbau', in Erkenntnis 35 (1991) 263-86, at 264. Specifications of the non-foundationalist Carnap are already available in the literature, of course; since Hudson, however, chose to focus only on a few select papers - namely, those cited in note 2 plus Michael Friedman and William Demopoulos, 'Critical Notice: Bertrand Russell's The Analysis of Matter; Its Historical Context and Contemporary Interest', Philosophy of Science 52 (1985) 621-39 and Michael Friedman, 'The Re- Evaluation of Logical Positivism', Journal of Philosophy 88 (1991) 505-19 - an answer to his neo-traditionalist charge requires that some of these characterisations and further particulars are brought together in a suitable fashion

-
See Thomas E. Uebel, 'Rational Reconstruction as Elucidation? Carnap in the Early Protokol Sentence Debate', Synthese 93 (1992) 107-40, at p. 129, for how this may be related to ongoing Wittgensteinian issue of the effability of logical form
