    • The calculation shows that within the limit of the atomic sphere approximation the relaxation of the surface has no decisive influence on (Formula presented). (Formula presented) is changed by less than 0.03 eV at the surface when considering an inward relaxation of 8.5% for the topmost surface layer and an outwards relaxation of 2.3% for the second layer with respect to the bulk interlayer spacing [D.
