10. 4] in THF on a scale of about 3 mmol were combined with equimolar amounts of the imine in the same solvent and stirred at -70°C. The reaction mixture was allowed to warm to 20°C and stirred for 3 h at 20°C. The volatiles were pentane over a glass-sinter disc (G3). When the solution was cooled, crystals formed. The solution was decanted off, and the crystals were washed with cold pentane and dried in vacuo to afford analytically pure materials 1-7 (Table 2).
