    • There is a recent temperature-programmed desorption experiment on D/Ag(111) [F. Healey, R.N. Carter and A. Hodgson, Surf. Sci. 328 (1995) 67], reporting that the surface saturation coverage of 1(±0.3) ML with additional bulk absorption can be achieved by using a highly efficient atomic D source. However, it also showed that the surface saturation could be only reached very slowly, preceeded by the bulk absorption.
