    • By locally covered, we mean a singularity which is spacelike, or, equivalently, a spacetime whose Cauchy horizon is the empty set. Clearly, all locally covered singularities are also globally covered, but the converse is not true (e.g., a singularity may be locally naked but globally covered, if the Cauchy horizon is nonempty and is a proper subset of the interior of the event horizon).
