    • --phonon-assisted orthoexciton band, tuning the laser to about 1 meV above the band edge as the applied stress is changed. In this way, excitons are created only in the well, which is necessary to avoid complicating migration effects. The laser beam is defocused to the size of the well to avoid diffusion effects, and the luminescence is collected over the central 30% of the well. With these methods, consistent results were obtained.
