    • In the experimental images obtained with spin polarized scanning electron microscopy, Ref. 11, one can easily observe an asymmetry between the ``black'' and ``white'' stripes corresponding to opposite directions of spins. We explain this asymmetry by the presence a small ``stray'' magnetic field. An alternative scenario would be that there is an asymmetric initial condition provided by a magnetic field pulse. That implies strong hysteresis, in contrast to the experimental data, Ref. 5, Moreover, in that scenario, only one domain of inverted magnetization would initially enter the magnetic film, and the size of a new domain should be comparable with the overall size of the film, a picture not confirmed by the experiment, Ref. 11, Instead, many narrow stripes of inverted magnetization enter the film. Thus a stray magnetic field is the more likely source of the ``black white'' asymmetry.
