    • In Ref. [16], which describes the generalized inversion scheme, the thermal function G(T) was set equal to 1 for simplicity. For a comparison with theoretical models the temperature dependence of G(T) must, however, be fully taken into account. The effects of thermal fluctuations leading to thermal depinning should in principle also be taken into account. However, for all the data considered here we are sufficiently far from the depinning temperature Tdps to neglect them. In strongly anisotropic superconductors, such as BiSrCaCuO, these effects must be considered since they lead to an exponential decrease of jc with T when T >> Tdps.
