    • Hübler suggests a modification of the underlying dynamics such that a goal dynamics becomes a stable solution. To do this one must have or construct a model equation for the dynamics and one must be able to modify experimentally the driving force of these equations with a possibly quite large modification. There are approaches to deal with these difficulties , J. Breeden and A. Hübler, Phys. Rev. A, 42, 5817

    • We note that the OGY control formula looks different from the one in Ref. [1]. The reason for this is that we use the linearization around ξ vecF and p0 (as is used in [6]) and do not estimate the new position of the fixed point ξ vecF(p) as one changes the parameter p, ξ vecF(p) = ξ vecF(p0) + g vec δ p, as OGY do. But it is easy to show that these approaches are equivalent and g vec and w vec are related through g vec = [ 1 - Dξ vec P ( ξ vec F , p0) ]-1w vec.
