11. A related result was obtained in Ref. [9], where it was shown that a nonmaximally entangled state in two qutrits violates a Bell inequality (derived in Ref. [10]) more strongly than any other state. This Bell inequality was shown to be necessary and sufficient for correlation functions describing experiments with three local settings at each site [11].
