    • The incompressible system must have a Poisson ratio of 0.5. The present work therefore addresses only elasticity arising from deformation of the periodic structure and not from the contituents themselves. It is possible to modify SCFT to account for compressibility, but this is beyond the scope of the present work.

    • It would also be possible to allow the particles to be deformed as the mixture is distorted, but this would not correspond to the quasistatic melt state deformation that we are considering here. This would correspond instead to a system of softer nanoparticles and would be more appropriately studied without the addition of a density functional term.
