43. Hoffman U, Fischereder M, Kruger B, et al.: The value of N-acetylcysteine in the prevention of radiocontrast agent-induced nephropathy seems questionable. J Am Soc Nephrol 2004, 15:407-410. This is an interesting study suggesting that acetylcysteine has a direct effect on the tubular handling of creatinine and questioning its beneficial effect.
