See [Note; the values in this report are for 'absorbed dose' in milliGrays (mGy)]. The 'effective dose' in mSv is obtained by use of a 'tissue-weighting factor.' This factor is not discussed at this site, but comparison with effective dose values used for various regions of the world suggests that the factor used is of the order of 10 (i.e., 1 mGy-10 mSv). See also [7] for discussion of variability of dose from natural background radiation
