    • This omission is not expected to be a serious shortcoming. In a previous paper [20], we investigated reflection and transmission at the interface separating a homogeneous medium and a uniaxial crystal whose optical axis is orthogonal to the interface, showing that, in paraxial regime, the transmitted field is proportional to the incident one. Therefore, we expect a similar proportionality relation to hold also in the present case where the optical axis is parallel to the interface.
