21. We were unsuccessful in the detection of the metallic absorption band in the visible/near-IR region from either of the solid-state SWNT samples probably because of significant scattering effects. However, the visible/NIR spectrum of the metallic free-SWNT sample obtained by dispersing the sample in the polyimide matrix shows clearly the metallic absorption band and the depletion of semiconducting SWNTs (Supporting Information).
