    • One interesting development within the Accessible Helsinki Programme is the work of the Research Institute for Health Care Facilities (SOTERA), Helsinki University of Technology. This Research and Development Group is developing ways in which planning regulations for accessible buildings can be more easily integrated into the design phase of public and private building developments to enhance 'barrier free' access for all.
