23. We have also examined "weakly commensurate" cases, where 4pK(k)/a = 2qK(m)/c with similar results. Here p and q denote relative primes. For incommensurate cases, the boundary periodicity cannot be imposed and typically we found that this creates an immediate instability-inducing perturbation to the configuration.
