    • These reactions need longer reaction time (2-4 days) because formation of the corresponding quaternary salt from glycosyl diphenyphosphinites and iodomethane is quite slow. Now, the reaction of glycosyl halides and glycosyl acceptors promoted by the addition of phosphine oxide is under investigation for acceleration.
