note
-
All the calculations in this paper are done in the rotating wave approximation (RWA) so that the actual energy gap between the electronic potentials does not play any physical role in the dynamics. Only the chirp and constant detunings intervene in the equations. Of course, in reality, the energy gap determines the validity of the RWA assumptions, and therefore may influence the dynamics of the process.
