    • This statement is obviously wrong if social theory is defined to include biological and physical human history. Here social theory pertains to specifically human beings and human society abstracted from biological nature, i.e., what human beings have in common as such, not what they have in common with other animals. "The history of nature is the history of labor, period" makes sense only if what is uniquely human is abstracted from the rest of nature.
