14. A crucial circumstance that distinguishes s - 1/2 bosons from the s = 1 ones is the conservation of the number of particles of each spin component. Hence, apart from a special symmetry of the Hamiltonian, s = 1/2 bosons can be considered as a mixture of two components, each component possessing a well-defined number of particles.
