13. The DNA / DNA duplex composed of strands having the reverse orientation (i.e., 3′-TCTCTCTCCTTCT-5′ binding to 5′-AGAGAGAGGAAGA-3′ was calculated to have a melting temperature of 44δC by Oligo Software Package. Similarly, the analogous RNA / RNA duplex was calculated to melt at 52°C.
