This is an interesting, interdisciplinary endeavor by an ethicist, a clinician, and a rabbi to address the integration of a spiritual dimension into the psychotherapy process.

This is an articulate analysis of the way in which the theoretical pluralism of contemporary psychoanalysis reflects the basic anti-foundational, practical, consensus-seeking tenets of contemporary American pragmatism. The author neglects to connect this analysis with his former espousal of continental hermeneutics to address the same phenomenon in psychoanalysis.

This is a review of the corruption of German psychiatrists by Nazi ideology, and is a reminder that contemporary psychiatrists are vulnerable to our current forms of corruption.

19. Mancia M. Wittgenstein's personality and his relations with Freud's thought. Int J Psychoanal 2002; 83:161-177. This is an interesting (psycho)analysis of Wittgenstein that draws on recently published family correspondence and Wittgenstein's diaries. Unfortunately, the author relies on a stereotyped, reductionistic psychoanalytical methodology and thus misses an opportunity to attempt a more interesting analysis of the connection between Wittgenstein's eccentric personality and his philosophical thought.
