Resistance to diet-induced hypercholesterolemia and gallstone formation in ACAT2-deficient mice
-
note

Buhman KK, Accad M, Novak S, Choi RS, Wong JS, Hamilton RL, Turley S, Farese RV Jr: Resistance to diet-induced hypercholesterolemia and gallstone formation in ACAT2-deficient mice. Nat Med (2000) 6(12):1341-1347. ACAT2 null mice showed resistance to diet-induced hypercholesterolemia and gallstone formation, suggesting that ACAT inhibitors are useful for preventing formation of cholesterol gallstones.
