    • The amount of direct participation of crystalline domains to macroscopic elastic recovery of the material is derived in the simple assumption that Kuhn coils are independent of the crystals and do not take part to its elastic response. The strong connections between amorphous and crystals, through the "tie chains", were neglected (see, for instance, Peterlin, A. Morphology. In Encyclopedia of Polymer Science Engineering: Wiley: New York, 1987; Vol. 10, p 26).
