    • In preliminary experiments for the detection of organic solvents using this configuration, we have seen much better sensitivity in the ppb range. This work is still in progress.

    • It should be noted that the soot and metal particles present in the as-prepared sample would affect the initial value of the resonant frequency, (dielectric constant). However, since the same sample is used in successive measurements, the presence of soot/particles does not affect the magnitude of resonant frequency shift.
