Contrary to their statement, in superconducting cuprates the value of the parameter t′/t obtained by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy is negative [see, e.g., M. Eschrig and M. R. Norman, Phys. Rev. Lett. 85, 3261 (2000)]. A typical value of - t′/t for Bi2212 is 0.2÷0.25.
