    • From the inset to fig. la it is clear that in our Fe/Cr samples the electron waves propagate in a strongly non-uniform magnetic field and the classical interpretation of domain walls may not be correct in this case. However, we continue to use the standard terminology. In our samples the scaling parameter nDW (concentration of DWs) rather reflects the degree of non-uniformity of the local in-plane magnetic field inside the Fe layers.
