    • NBD-PS-b-PMMA has been prepared by Dr B. Moon in the Department of Chemistry, U. of Minnesota. First, NBD labeled PS with bromine at the chain end was polymerized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) using an NBD labeled initiator, 2-[methyl(7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazol-4-yl)amino]hexyl 2-bromo-propionate. PMMA block was grown from the NBD labeled PS which acted as an ATRP initiator for PMMA polymerization.
